Northern Purpose
Brendan Clark and Carl H are NORTHERN PURPOSE.
The pair have combined to form one of the best underground house party’s in London, under the same name. Together, their sound ranges from Deep House to Techno; their Chicago and Detroit influences are almost palpable.
Although inspired by producers from the early-mid 90′s, the NP boys know how to move a dance floor, and no matter how retrospective they go, their sound still remains relevant. Their sound reaches far beyond the UK; with residencies agreed at the Grelle Forelle club in Vienna and the up-and-coming Meadows In the Mountains based in Bulgaria, Brendan and Carl H AKA NORTHERN PURPOSE are looking forward to a positive and successful 2012.
Brendan Clark
A music lover in his own right and an avid record collector since the tender age of 14. Brendan’s passion for the deeper side of House Music takes inspiration from producers in Chicago, Detroit and the DIY seen in Nottingham. Through the mid 90′s he was a regular at some of the great house clubs in the North of England, one of his first true experience of US House was at the now defunct Hard Times night at the Bel Air club in Huddersfield.
Carl H
Carl is a record collector / promoter based in the north of England, With a driving passion towards house music inspired by early producers in Chicago & Detroit around the mid 90s.
Carl was introduced to Brendan and Paul at the Sonar festival (Barcelona) in 2006. Their friendships blossomed due to their shared adoration for music.
Paul
Paul is a hair / fashion stylist and Promoter. Paul has been following house music since the mid 90′s. Paul and Brendan were regular visitors to some of the big House nights in the North such as Hard Times, Love To Be, Back To Basics and The Hacienda. It was there that they were first introduced to US DJ’s playing Garage and House. Paul an avid record collector is always on the look out for new and old vinyl to add to his every growing collection.
